Steak Sauce – Cognac Cream

Creamy, Savoury with hint of sweetness from the cognac – this is the perfect steak sauce! This sauce is very versatile, it goes well with seafood too!

1st, melt the butter in a heated pan over medium heat

Add minced garlic and saute for another 30 secs

Add in the cream and bring to boil. Continue to boil and allow the cream to reduce till thicken

Season with Salt and add in cognac (adjust the quantity based on your preference)

Immediately remove the cream from the heat after stirring in the cognac. Serve on the side with steak or drizzle over steak

Serves: about ¾ cup of cream
  • 15g Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • 200ml Cream
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cognac
  1. Melt the butter in a heated pan over medium heat
  2. Add in garlic to the melted butter and saute for 30 secs
  3. Add in cream and bring it to boil
  4. Allow the cream to reduce until it thicken and able to coat the back of the spoon
  5. Season with salt and add in 1 teaspoon of cognac.
  6. Remove the cream from the heat and serve on the side with the steak or pour sauce over steak
